Picon Clan (Alice/Victor's Fam)

Here are a few pics of the Picon Family taken at Amanda's house while we were in Michigan.

Grandma with Angel (white) and Ezekiel (blue shirt). Amanda and Samantha's Babies respectfully.

Angel the first night we were there. He was going to go out on the town to a dance. lol
Isn't he cute in his hat?

Amanda with her sisters Estrella (brown shirt) and Alicia (green shirt) with Alyssa.

Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to take a pic of Samantha or the Picon's themselves since we didn't get to see them before we left.

It's hard to imagine I helped changed both Amanda and Samantha's diapers! Where does the time go. lol. Now they both have babies/families of their own.

Sunday Drive

Yippeee a day of relaxation! We're all still recuperating from our trip. Catching up on sleep, work, work and chores (ugh, you know the ones I'm referring to ;) ).

As promise new pics of our trip. I'll start with the ones while going there.

This bus passed us somewhere in Arkansas. Not sure what kind or what it for. I think it was a band bus though. Cute decor though. ;) LOL

When we stopped somewhere in Arkansas or Missouri. Forgot already LOL

Don't they look fresh. LOL

Hot Hot Day!

It is sooooo hot today. I thanked God yet for a working air conditioned car lol. We slowly adjusting to our lives again from our vacation in MI. I will admit it's been hard to do lol.

I may have forgot to mentioned that my sister in law had her baby a week or so earlier than planned. She was in for a shocked when she got her little baby girl. I pray daily for the children in our families. I pray that God opens the parents eyes to help guide them in how to raise the precious ones.

If and when ;) we win the lottery then we'll have more children, maybe. lol.

I'll post our trip pictures when I have more time.

A week In Hiatus!

Holy Cow! This has been the most busiest week ever aside from Alyssa and David being born lol.

Thursday we spent all day packing, doing laundry, cleaning house, and getting things prepared for our trip. I packed the car while David was working but I did not do the cargo carrier because we weren't sure we would take it.

I tried to sleep as much as I could that night although I was too excited. Actually we all were lol. I did get a good nights sleep though.

Friday morning came around, did our errands and whatnots. We did end up not taking the cat and taking the cargo carrier lol. We had a great safe travel there. I did drive straight through nonstop (minus bathroom/food breaks) both ways.

I spent 3 glorious days with my family. I knew I had missed them very much but I didn't know how much. Not until it was time to go. It was hard to leave, hard to say those last good byes. I didn't want to let them go. :(

I do thank God for my family, their healths, support, and love. I know God has things in store for all of us and someday I'll know that he will help each and every one of us feel his mighty Love.

Taken from the Dallas Pregnancy Center. It truly is a caring and supportive environment. I have grown to love the women there and am appreciative of them as well as thanking God daily for sending His Angels.

Popeye's?

Not this time! Still saving money for you guessed it, our Michigan Trip!

We had to run a few errands as well as start buying juices and soda drinks for the road trip. We also brought a few baby supplies that we needed.

I'll leave you with pics of D Jr's new item from the Army store that we visited last Sunday.

Monday Blues Or Is It?

It's been a great weekend and we have less than a week before we head off to MI. Yay!

Car has been great. We also made plans with my Aunt Dolores for her to come back with us on our way back. She may not be able to help drive but she will keep us company.

We are making a list of what we're taking and not taking. Since we do only have a good size car sedan, there is not a lot we can take but still have room for her things. lol

David received a coupon for a free chicken sandwhich from Chick-Fil-A.

So D Jr got chicken sandwich from there which he says was really good lol. I didn't have any due to my diet but least he let me smell it. LOL

Sunday Drive

We decided to take the car to Denton which is about a hour drive. To test out the vehicle and just to do something cheap without spending too much money since we're saving for our trip. Can you tell I'm so excited?

Actually we all are. LOL D Jr has been asking "Mom, how many days today?" lol. David has been avidly checking the car every morning to make sure it's in top working condition for our long drive.

Came back home and sure enough it ran beautifully. It's now my new baby!

Everyone has been taking trips too. David's sister Gilda and her children are in Cancun taking a mini Vacation too. David's Dad's GF is off in Mexico visiting friends and David's Dad will be taking a week off in a week too.

Saturday overtime

Today David has to work overtime which we thank the lord for. This means extra money for our trip to MI which is less than a week away.

We also tested the car as much as we could and it works like a charm again. Thank the lord! :)

TGIF!

David replaced the old radiator with the new one and you wouldn't believe how badly the old one looks. It had a big hard clump of dead crickets and bugs stuck to it.

Car ran awesome again today. We're blessed that David can fixed our vehicles because he literately probably saved us $300 by doing it himself and all the other repairs he has done to our vehicles.

I'm so lucky to have a wonderful husband even if sometimes I don't tell him as often as I should. Love you babe!

Radiator is finally here!

It has arrived but it's too late to install so David will have to do that bright and early tomorrow! So far the part looks great. We had to do a bit of verifying because it seems like the wrong part. However, after calling the CS of the store off ebay, we were told it is indeed the right part and that it's also universal - fits both automatic and manual. Yay! Looks spiffy too.

Excited to get this fixed. Hopefully this is the only thing wrong with the car. It has not overheated so much as before but still leaking with one of the tanks being bad.

Parenting Class And Its Perks

Another beautiful day to our Parenting Classes. This week's lesson is keeping your home clean. Trying to set a schedule and sticking to it.

This time it was very fun because it was up to David and D Jr. to try to do a lessons. They were told so that they could understand what Momma - me - goes through in the home.

Our homework will consist of writing and keeping track of what chores we do daily.

Since I enjoy this time of fellowship as well as getting support, it sometimes can be a long class at the Dallas Pregnancy Center. Sometimes I don't have time to make breakfast or lunch or prepare David's Lunch because of this. So usually the boys get their way and we eat out. Something simple and cheap which means 99cent whoppers at Burger King or the 99cent menu at Taco Bell. lol

Can you guess which one they chose?

Waiting Patiently

David and I are waiting patiently for our radiator. Keep us in prayer. I will say this though - it was only and only through the grace of God that we were able to 1) Find a NEW radiator for less than $80 ($75.19 to be exact) and 2) We had the finances to buy a part without borrowing money! Praise the Lord. He truely blesses when we put our faith and trust in him.

Vehicle Repairs

As you know we've had this car for over 5 months and it's been running beautiful. That is until yesterday. After troubleshooting, David found the issue or issues. A stuck thermostat and a cracked radiator.

After some coaxing I finally convinced David to order a radiator from ebay. Tons of searching and researching later we decided to buy this radiator from seller:coolautopart. Seems like a winner/store/power seller to me.

In the meantime David has temporary fixed it so that we can at least use the car for errands and his work. With the Lord's guidance, we shall overcome this little obstacle. lol

Off to the Army Store

Little David has been wanting very badly to go to the army store but because of finances we have not been able to ... until now.

With the Lord's blessings and our constant budgeting, we have been able to save money not only for our MI trip but for little splurges here and there.

We went to one in Dallas and you would not believe how excited D Jr was. He was looking and looking. It wasn't a small store but it took us over a hour for D Jr to find what he wanted. Of course he wanted everything but we told him that he could only have one thing because the rest we were going to save for our trip.

He did not have a problem with that but he definitely had a problem with choosing the right thing. LOL

Unfortunately our vehicle also started overheating on us so we had to cut our outing short so David could trouble shoot.

Wally World and Errands

We had some errands to run today among them buying some household items. (I now dread buying lol) Stopped at Wally world and while waiting for David's prescriptions, we did a bit of walking around. Of course we're on a strict budget but we did have to pick up some household items such as toilet paper, shampoo, soap, etc etc.

I did take a gander over to the baby items. I'm always looking for bargains especially any items on clearance. Didn't see anything I needed (thank you Dallas Pregnancy Center for that!) but I did see that pricing for diapers and wipees have gone up at least a dollar. Unfortunately I also saw the boxes of diapers have gone down in how many diapers too. Less for our money should be Wally's slogan. LOL

D Jr wanted to stopped at Gamestop but we told him not this time since we were saving money for our trip to MI lol. Unfortunately David didn't work late last night but he's scheduled to work late again this week. That is one thing I hate about his job, one minute he suppose to work x amount of hours and then at the last minute they change it. I shouldn't complain. In fact I should thank God for his job. (Thank you Dear Lord.) I should also thank him for the fact that he is back to working 5 days a week now.

I'll leave you with a pic of my baby brother J and his only son who is 2.5 years old - Adrian.

TGIF Again!

Work has been hectic but I won't complain too much. lol Sometimes 60 hours of work just isn't enough but it will have to do. LOL

David is working late tonight or at least that's the plan. He's suppose to work til 3 am but we shall see. I'm hoping he does so that we have a bit more extra money for our trip to Michigan. The more moola the better LOL.

D. Jr (what I will be calling little David from now on lol at least on here) and I stopped at Sonic for some slushes on our way home. It is very hot and bright today!

Late mornings

It feels like I never have enough hours in the morning. I was up early working only to have slept like 3/4 hours total. I had to get up at 3 to pick David up at 3:30 am! Poor me! lol Just teasing.

Finally settled down on dates for our trip to Michigan. Called Mom to verify something and talked to her for a bit. David and I decided to go to Michigan on the 21st. We'll leave that morning and hopefully get there sometime late late night.

Parenting Class And Its Perks

Wednesday mornings we always have Parenting Class at the Dallas Pregnancy Center at Holystone. Now if you haven't already guessed it, this is my favorite time of the week. I get to fellowship and visit with some very kind, friendly, strong women.

Our class this time was to go over our homework as well as discuss the list of things to do for getting ready to and for renting an apartment. I always enjoy my class, very informative.

Once home, we had to feed the children, and prepare for David's lunch lol. He's working late tonight until 3 am.

Here are a few pics, I took on July 25th. Just got around to uploading them. lol

Dedication To My Sis

Drove by a cemetery and had to take a pic while doing so. I know how much she loves visiting one. Perhaps I'll get more when we have more time. Drove by this one when we were going to David's work.

Love you freako (sis). lol

Mondays yet again lol

It's a new week and time to start all over. We had a great weekend, full of errands on Sat and relaxation on Sun.

I've been waking up earlier and earlier since I've been trying to work more during the day rather than at night. However sometimes with errands, getting the kids ready for the day, making breakfast, David's lunch, and dinner early. It just doesn't work out to work very much.

Alyssa has been going to bed earlier than 1 am so it gives me time to work a few hours at night, sleep then wake up to work again. Hopefully we can get her on a good sleep schedule soon. I know it's tough because of having to wake her up to pick David up at night but gotta do whatcha gotta do, right?

Relaxing Days

Another weekend where we couldn't go camping because of the rain. It's been raining off and on a few days already and it's getting a bit boring.

We are having a late start and still debating where we want to go the Mall or Traders Village.

Rainy Saturday

It's is raining off and on. Hopefully it'll stop. Earlier in the week I knew we were not going to be able to go camping yet another weekend. LOL Figures.

We're slowly getting ready for the day even though it's past 12 pm lol. We just have a few errands to run - one being grocery shopping. I'm collecting all my coupons (about $30 in savings!) and we have a new budget we're sticking to.

We've also been looking at renting guides as well as buying house guides to start looking at locations. With God's help, we'll find our next new home. :)

This weekend is yet another stay at home to save for our Michigan trip. Which is okay since it's raining all day anyways.
